Terms and Conditions

The ProjectRecalc competition is run by Monaco Corporation Ltd (“MCL”, “We”, “Us”), in conjunction with Huffer Direct Ltd (“Huffer”) on these terms and conditions.

When you click the “I Accept” button, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Terms and Conditions

This competition commences on the first of February 2010. Entries close on 23rd April 2010. Voting on ProjectRecalc.co.nz closes on the 30th April 2009.

Prizes

Participants who win the Design of the Week award receive a choice between either:

  1. 1. A pair of Converse ‘Chucks’ in the contestant’s size.

or

  1. Your choice of a G-Shock DW6900CS / DW6900CC watch (available in BLACK, WHITE, BLUE, or PURPLE) or a Baby G BG5601 / BG5602 watch (available in WHITE, PINK, BLACK, YELLOW, or BLUE).

or

  1. A Lego Rock band game on your choice of platform – Xbox-360, PS3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS.

Participants who win Spot Prize awards receive:

  1. A Hoyts movie pass.

The Participant who wins the Peoples’ Choice award receives:

  1. A Sadhana Surfboard.

The Participant who wins the Overall Winner award receives:

  1. Your design will be used on a limited edition Huffer T-Shirt - Sold in Huffer retailers New Zealand wide and on www.hufferstore.com.

And

  1. A $100 Huffer store voucher, redeemable at www.hufferstore.com.

And

  1. A Burton Snowboard.

And

The Participant who wins the Third Place award receives:

Project Recalc Contest Rules

Create an original design on your very own calculator to enter. You can use paint, pen, ink, whiteout, etching, engraving, printed collage or just about anything that leaves your mark. Digital artwork is OK, but it must be printed and glued onto your calculator to form part of a real physical artwork or collage on your calculator. You must not airbrush or digitally edit or touch-up the photograph of your design.

Once you have photographed your design, you must enter your design into the competition by posting the photo onto this website. To post your photograph, follow the procedure set out here.

You’d better check with your parents if your design will permanently mark your calculator.

Your design must be completely original, and all your own work. In your design you must not use any logos, trademarks or copyrighted material.

We reserve the right to reject or take down from projectrecalc.co.nz any entry that we consider to be unsuitable for inclusion in the ProjectRecalc website and competition for any reason, including that we think that the design may create problems, including possible legal liabilities. We can also take down or reject an entry if it is inconsistent with the letter or spirit of these terms and conditions, including poor design. Your design will be rejected if we consider that it is offensive or inappropriate in any way.

You must not submit any design or work that has been published previously on any website other than ProjectRecalc.co.nz, or in any other media (e.g. in a magazine).

How long your design stays on the ProjectRecalc.co.nz website will be influenced by voting results. We will add and remove designs during the competition period. We can remove any design at the sole discretion of the ProjectRecalc.co.nz website administrators.

Submitted designs are eligible to be chosen for the following awards:

  1. Design of the Week
  2. Peoples’ Choice
  3. Overall Winner
  4. Second Place
  5. Third Place

Winning designs are determined by a combination of voting results and participant comments. ProjectRecalc.co.nz staff and the Huffer Design Team will make the final decision. The judges’ decisions will be final.

If your design is selected as the winner of any ProjectRecalc Award that results in MCL or Huffer publishing your design, you give MCL and its licensees and assignees (including Huffer) the exclusive rights to: (1) reproduce the design or any parts, alterations or derivatives of your design in any media (the Media); and (2) publicly display, perform or exhibit, or distribute the design, as part of the Media, in any way, including by transmission, broadcast, or electronic communication without payment to you. Huffer will have ongoing permanent exclusive rights to that design for commercial use on apparel and other promotional products.

MCL and Huffer reserve the right to make necessary adjustments or changes to winning designs in order to conform artwork to manufacturing requirements. Huffer reserves the right to make any other final decisions on a successful design's ink colours, sizing, placement, appliqué, or embroidery.

Winning designs may be modified by us in any way whatsoever, used as a basis for additional illustrations or images (whether or not by you).

MCL shall use reasonable efforts to ensure that when any design is used in any Huffer or other product, it is accompanied by a reasonable credit to the designer. However, designers can ask us not to use their names in relation to their designs.
